yes. i believe to be one of many. albeit, this one isn't very good. i tend to think a real Carrera GT is way too much to attempt to copy, not to mention the insult factor. almost thinking the same about other hypercars too. i like the idea of a 348 or 355 kit though. hell, the 348 is just a kit car anyway.... on this CGT, the back looks like hell, and the splitter is pitched up wrong... but other kit car vendors have done the same with the Boxster.

i have to admit this 964 to 993 is pretty amazing.

(hell, just the fenders and front valance w/out the fancy engine would be fine too), but someone went all the way....

http://cdn.speedhunters.com/wp-conte...Gatebil-12.jpg << here's a V8 carrera GT made from a boxster at gatebil

For kit cars, the Ultima GTR seems hard to beat.

With $40k I'd much rather buy a REAL low miles italian supercar (Ferrari 308 GTS , 348), rather than a fake Lambo. Though, there isn't much to be said for even real Lambos anyways.

I've always been a sucker for the looks of a Shelby Cobra. Such a beautiful looking car.

At some point, I would like to buy the remains of some poor bastard's project (for cheap) and finish it myself. This primarily involves making some modifications to the namby-pamby frame before putting various other personal touches on it.

As far as LS motors are concerned, there just isn't any better sounding motor in my opinion. On top of that, have you ever heard 180-degree headers? Unbelievable sound.

I think there *should* be enough room in a Cobra to drop in an LSx + 180-degree headers.

There's a curiously-large group of Pantera owners back in AZ, and one guy has 180-deg headers on his 351 Cleveland. My jaw dropped when I first heard it drive away. Oh man.

I'm working on the 1uz-944 kit, just need to determine which throwout bearing to use.
