My friend did his entire beater in plastidip. Never tried it myself, but have seen people do wheels for a few years. You can get a few different colors nowadays too.
I just picked up my 2022 Boxster GTS in shark blue with shark blue painted wheels. The dealer tried to talk me out of the shark blue wheels but my wife wanted them shark blue and it is here fun car - so here they are - likely the only Boxster on the planet with shark blue wheels and body. Also the rollbars and interior trim. What do you think - a step too far into the blue? The guys at PECLA on Tuesday told me the car was getting tons of attention from staff and guests during the week before we picked it up….. not sure if it was good attention or not. The car gets more comments and thumbs up than my 2021 Targa 4 in white with a Bordeaux roof and I interior. I think people like the shark blue color — the SA told me it was only the second shark blue car they have seen and there are not too many in the country yet. The photos do not do the color justice - much richer blue in person.
