Thx, Sam Its been a long journey to make it look and perform well, and still lots to go.
I'm trying to hit cars and coffee at least 1 saturday per month, hope to see you there. Also, a guy here at work is selling his E90 M3 wheels (stock) if you know of anyone looking.

Ted...that is one of the best posts in a while! I love knowing these cars are being driven AND seeing the proof in photos!! Your car looks great, that is a ton of tire and you'll never tire (pun intended) of staring at the footprint. Your model just became a supermodel now she has a rearend second to none!
That must have been fun!

Thx, Rick! Our aviation activities have fallen off in recent years, mostly due to $5-6 a gallon gas. Taking the 951 out with a large group of people that enjoy driving and eating was revealing. The attendees won't leave me alone about planning a Fall trip! Many have said "lets do it again in May!".
Bottom line: Plan an overnight trip a month or so in advance, invite anyone you know, and anyone they know, and they will come. No one (except some terror stricken passengers) could stop smiling at our stops about the drive.

Thanks again, guys. The bodywork and paint was a great teaching opportunity for then 15 year old son. We had a great time doing it, and it turned out really nice, for under $1000. Those considering DIY paint should dive in. $3-5K paint jobs are cool, but for most 44 owners its unrealistic.
