Option A: As long as the cylinder walls aren't severely scored - just replace the bearings and go.
Option B: Source a long block from Lart.
Option C: Send me the M-Tune and THEN let Lart have it.
Regarding some of the questions on the K27/6 from Evergreen - it is likely the "Big 6" that Charlie has been doing lately with a slightly clipped #6 turbine wheel. Neglegible impact on spool up, with dramatically reduced backpressures - it's a really nice turbo for a street car.

Really, if you boil this down to simple terms, the biggest problem, here, is the angry wife.
Fix it and enjoy your car (if you can; with the wife and all).

1) IMA has dyno sheets, asked Dan to post them earlier. He said he would. 2) they gave me a quote of $8,100 to fix it. There is no way I'm going to the wife and saying I'm paying ANOTHER 8k to fix car.3) 2.5 more than likely,I figured I'd have one built for less than 8k?

Here is what I know: Car was inspected, driven, pistons looked fine, cylinder walls looked fine, oil was changed and no material was present, compression was fine.During Dyno something went wrong, material in oil,#2 bearing went bad. What was cause? Unsure. Dyno charts:awaitting posting. Said bearings could be replaced, but felt it would be best to do more work.

So the $8k figure included other "while you're in theres"
Makes more sense.

More than likely $8k is a full rebuild including R&R. You may as well go this route if you intend on keeping the car for any length of time. You'll never get the money back if you sell so if that has any bearing (hah) on your decision it'd probably be best to cut your losses now.
How interested are you in working on cars yourself? $8k will buy a lot of parts and tools.

I'm on dark side of the moon with her, might as well bring her home for a spell. During which I will map out new plans. 2.5 bullet proof build. No over the top, just improvements, oil pan, just want it solid. Stock might be solid enough for my goals, maybe a tweak here and there for reliability.
