Talking I am back! Bought my old 951 back

After two years in a 996, I recently sold it. Very nice car, but.... as I said in my other thread I missed the 951.

I have been fortunate enough to buy back my old 951 (Heidi) from the 'lister to whom I sold it. He was looking for a more track ready car - which he has found.

She was dropped at my mechanic's for the safety and new belts on Monday.

The BBS LMs are gone (the seller kept them), but with my wheel fetish - I have a plan

I do not have any pictures, but here is an old one.

Yea, its funny how these old cars get in your blood. I sold a 911 recently but observed that out of the people who came by to look at it, almost all them spent more time noticing my lowly 944. One father/son couple was the best, the Dad wanted the boy to re-live his teen fun days with a 911, but the kid walked around my 951 about 10 times with zero interest in the 911. For once, I connected with a teenager - that almost never happens...Bruce

Just curious about your thoughts on 996 vs 951 if you care to share. Been thinking about getting a 2003-5 996T. Particularly, whats it like wrenching on that platform compared to the 51? TIA

Hey, that's amazing you came back to the 951.
I'm on my third.
After wrecking the previous two, I thought about vettes and 911 turbos; but the passion is the 951, modified to my taste.

Good stuff Fergus.
Your car looks gorgeous mate and can't wait to see what wheels you end up fitting

I don't want to hear any complaints about the "previous owner"...

Congrats!
