What a great thread! When my motor gives out I think i may definitely go this route.

Definitely try to get some in-car video mate. Jealous of your E85. If I'da stayed in AZ I definitely would've stuck with it. Meth injection here I come!

I checked them after a few days. I havn't retorqued them after heat cycles. So far I'm not having any issues at all. I'll be changing the cam this weekend so I'll check them again.

Also to update this thread.

It went 12.63@114.8 at 12psi max boost with decent headwind

Sid, i'm pretty sure i've asked you before but was are you using to control boost with? and are you using the 3bar MAP to log? if so how long is the vacuum like from the intake to the MAP sensor?

I use an HKS EVC. It's an old 3 button with a manual ****. Actually tonight, the boost controller was off so it just ran on spring pressure. The line to the map sensor is probably 2 feet. from my logs it doesn't seem to matter how close it is. The only benefit I can see to having it close is to have it up above the possibility of oil running into it.

Thanks,
I'm just trying to figure out how to make my loged curve flat like yours, where mine is jagged... even with a MBC and that actually falls off when i put it on.

Did you loosen them one by one or just check them?
Did they move any?

That's very impressive so far Sid. What psi did you run your previous best on?

Increase your sample rate and look to see if it has a smoothing option.

My previous best was at 25psi on gauge, so around 23 psi. Being at this elevation really does hurt performance. I think the air was 8500' last night.

That's beyond incredible Sid! Essentially the same time with half the boost. Mind blowing. What can you put this down to?
You will definitely need something beyond street tyres next time.

Patrick, that is a good question. And one I've been thinking very hard about. To be brutally honest, I expected to run no better than mid to high13's at around 107ish at that boost level. To put it into perspective, a 2.5 at the same pressure can barely (if at all) break 100mph.

So to give an honest answer....

I think quite a bit of the gain was from the added mid range power of the added cubes. However, I think there is much more to be gained still and I can't lie. I think the lightweight parts, my cleaning up the combustion chambers (in shrouding the valves since I have a larger bore). Or there is another bit of work I did with the quench area that may turn out to be of great benefit.

We'll have to see what kind of power others make with my setup to see where the extra gains are from.

I do think that this setup has the capability to run over 120 at lower elevation, and I can't wait to ship one there
