The speed are in kms. Traffic in that video was very light, and there were no yellow flags so he could make a pretty clean lap. A couple of overtakes less (in cricial parts of the track) could have taken him below 8 minutes BTG. Yes, he's fast. And that was one proof more that a 951 is still very capable track day weapon.
With my about 80 laps I'm in 8:50 range. This year's goal is sub 8:30.

Starting the timer in the beginning of the lap (under the bridge), stopping at the end of the lap (under the gantry).

Do you know why?

Kameraverbot...

http://www.nuerburgring.de/fileadmin...fahrten_01.pdf

If they catch you filming or timing you are booted (and depending upon what you are doing, likely not allowed to come back for a while).

This is not supposed to be a racetrack when it is not rented as such. It is a "toll road" during the open times. This is why passing on the right (even if it is a better line) is not allowed. It is treated as a roadway.

Good god. This guy certainly has cojones.

Not to be a noodge, but he is certainly very trusting of his car. If you watch his steering inputs he really likes to thrash the wheel. Curious what tires he was using. He's either very brave or exceedingly foolish.
