Default nice 944T-S nurburgring video

i just watched this -- it's a great vid! he obviously has race-ish brakes (you can hear the squealing) and good tires... but his driving and overall speed it quite nice!

i did 6 laps there last year w/an opel corsa turbo... and i still have this weird, recurring dream of shipping my 951 out there and living in a tent while driving every day!

Maybe you won't have to ship your car over there if Burton Smith, who owns several NASCAR tracks is able to fullfil his plans for a replica of the Nordschleif outside of Las Vegas. I wonder how many artifical Christmas trees it will take to make the desert into "The Green Hell".

Definitely a cool video and yep, he cut a few passes with the bikes close.

Kinda funny how he was flying down the track and everyone else, bikes included, weren't.

I'm going to guess he's done a few laps around there before!

Seen this one a few times before. He's a skilled peddler for sure.

Many bikes on nurburgring drive way to slow and are way to insecure to even be there.

Very impressive video. That guy can drive. I have only done that a few thousand times on Forza/Gran Turismo over the past 10 years with many laps in the simulated 944 Turbo S - I know I would not have the confidence to drive like that until I had done many (lots and lots) of laps. The car acquits itself well I would say.

That's an awsome video.
Cajones, for sure; totally different than a "controlled" track day.

yeah, i was definitely impressed w/how sketchy driving on the ring was. i was constantly on the lookout, front and back, for either slow-*** bikes or *tour buses* hiding around the next corner, and prepped insanity machines dive-bombing me in corners. all the while desperately trying to remember what to do on the next turn at 100mph+.

i've done some wheel-to-wheel and a couple of dozen track days, and i have to say that driving on the 'ring was one of the most insane, scariest and most satisfying things i've ever done. it's not safe, but i would totally go back and do it again in a heartbeat.
