Default Used Turbo

Before I put my car away for the winter, it looks like my stock turbo is leaking. First thing that came to my mind was a rebuild or possibly an upgrade. Browsing on CL today and I came accross this

http://columbus.craigslist.org/pts/2876507454.html

Any opinions on swaping out an old, leaking turbo for a used, in good condition turbo? The price seemed reasonable.

I also came accross this car for sale if anyone lives in the Ohio area and is interested.

Because they took their car apart a year and a half ago, made changes to their setup predicating the use of a different style of turbo?

I.E. they are re-assembling using a GT style turbo, so now have no use for a 26-6 rebuilt 5000 miles before they pulled their motor out of their car...

John, are you the one selling this turbo or just in a similar situation?

Another thought, what's another $150 dollars in turbo rebuild? My car still runs fine and turbo pulls hard. Oil leaking however is something that will need attention. I could buy this used turbo, rebuild it (while still being able to drive the car), then swap out once the spare is rebuit.

I don't know, just some thoughts that were bouncing around in my head.

I believe that turbo is being sold by a member here. He is also on pelican, sold some wheels to him. Met him in person he's a good guy, he is converting his NA to turbo and is maybe going in the DBB direction which must why he is selling.
