1 complete race season, running 91 octane pump fuel with LS1 = NO failures. Started and finished every event. That didn't happen with my stock 951 motor...
Congrats on the results Tony!

So it went up from 417RWHP to 449RWHP and 371RWTQ to 400RWTQ. A gain of approx 32RWHP and 29RWTQ, another 300 rpms under the curve.
All that for the bargain basement price of about $5k.
But the top hanging fruit are hard to pick. And in the class I run in... you need to pick all the fruit or get left behind.
The last couple of pieces of fruit just aren't worth picking.
I'm done with the LS6.

pardon...
but i didn't catch your use of the name 'Iron Duke,' the first time... nice work with the nomenclature !! i used to know a guy who messed with turbocharging the old Iron Dukes. his name was Ira Tucker of Medway, Massachusetts. great guy. died of cancer a couple of years ago. used to run the engines in smallish cars. don't remember the cars, but i remember those screaming motors !
the thing i admire the most about a setup like Tony's is the massive output yet utter simplicity of the powerplant... seems mostly he's left with the task of keeping the running gear from coming apart, and less worrying about the internals of the engine. it will also be interesting to see how much track miles he can get out of the motor. can't imagine why he'd ever want to sell it when he's having so much fun racing.

You're playing games. You are looking at an LS3 aren't you?![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I hope you (and everyone else) got my copy cat sarcasm. You being one of the first in this forum to put an LS into the car.
The Fast intakes are pretty pricey. Add some CNC ported heads and labor and all that, price is crazy. 450 whp is pretty close to the top of the 5.7 liter food chain. I'm hoping for about 25 more horsepower (higher would be nice) but I will have a tiny, no weight clutch, dry sump, and custom headers, no accessories, etc. (6K more bucks for 25 hp) So I get your logic. How about $5K more for a 6.8 liter bottom end? Should be another 100 hp. I came to this epiphany after I had purchased the other stuff.

Yeah. Same dyno... 387RWHP with the MTI Stealth 2 cam (which I have if anybody is interested).
This was a stock 241 head long block (model year 2001) with the MTI cam/valvespring/retainer package, 78mm MTI throttlebody, LS6 manifold, same RH headers, same 2.5" dual exhaust.

My best friend in the day when he had his shop, dynoed a ton way back when. I was there a lot and helped out for fun. They were pretty consistent. This is in Camaro's and Vette's though. Auto's usually dynoed around 275-280 to the wheels, and the manuals dynoed right at 300 rwhp. + 30 for intake exhaust and chip. Headers barely gave +6-10 on top of that. Consider I saw about 30-40 dyno's with those mods.
