That looks amazing. I have to say that you are a true artist when it comes to welding and fabricating.

Looks great, however, I'm not sure that header will be able to be removed with the engine in the car. Obviously I can't say that for sure, but just a heads up.

Derek, we were actually discussing that last night and I think the distance outward is the same as factory so there is about an inch of clearance. However, getting the angle right may be another story. We'll find out soon enough..

Ah ok, cool. Just wondering. What about the W/G tie in? Going near the turbo?

Since I just looked at them... Dave has the WG in the same place as factory to be able to use current exhausts

Default This weekend

I had way too many things going on this weekend but I did make some progress on my motor a bit. I picked up my ported head (not happy with the price) and ripped this motor into pieces. I will post pictures of the new build up.

Sid and I did discuss the issue of being able to install the headers wit the motor in place and this is something we will have to just wait and see. I did look into making them a little shorter with the V Band in the riser but I want to see if this design works.

We did also talk about making a twin scroll header and it might be quite nice.

Oh, forgot to thank Sid for posting some answers for me.

I am going to do a test on my wife's 86 that is bone stock before and after some upgrades.
The plans for that car would be

M Tune
E85
Long Tube Headers
3" Exhaust
Faramic Clutch
20% pressure plate
wastegate
Intake
Modified A2A cooler
and a HY35 X .63 Turbo or maybe a HY35 X .84 Divided with a QS valve of my design,,, we shall see

Hmm, dnovak, could you modify stock crossovers to T3 flanges? Maybe find a good place to hack it, weld a v-band, then use new material as the up-pipe? I'm pretty sure that the K26 downpipes and T3s are the same for our cars so that would really open up the public's choice to an affordable off the shelf turbocharger.
