The BW we're talking about is VTG!

I don't think FR has expressed any interest in making the crossover. He's just giving an example of what us 951 guys would need to make.

Here is a few pics, not too difficult if you can fabricate.
This is with a t3 1.06 have had a few quality issues with the housings.

RHD makes it look simple...
A LHD is not so easy.

Rod, what size piping did you use for the crossover?
What RPM do you hit 15psi in 4th gear?

The pipes are similar to the headers if I recall, the 1 bar number was under 3000 on the road, generally pretty responsive.

Rod, thanks for the pictures. This is inspiring.

Any reason you chose a T3 turbine housing over a T4? Room perhaps?

I have a GT3076 with the Tial stainless Vband hot housing sitting in my bench if anybody is interested – brand new – still nice and shiny!

So what's so good about nice and shiny when you can have a track tested version...heheh

Rod, 1 bar in less than 3k on our motors is great. Even with my k26/8 I didn't see it in less than 3500rpm.
Wonder how different a GT3071 with 1.06 housing differs from a GT3076 .83 or .63?

Options have tended to be limited with twin scroll housings for these size turbos, but I think nowadays T4 is a better choice for twin scroll.

You can be the guinea pig for me Patrick for when I finally pick up a 951

A bolt on EFR kit would be fantastic.

The actual hardware shouldn't be that difficult. It's just a matter of someone doing something like Rod and making a jig so it can be replicated. But to be honest, and no disrespect intended...the numbers can't justify the costs. The 944 world is pretty cheap *** because there were so many made for the U.S. and every college kid can buy into one. They can buy an n/a for $2k that is in pretty good condition and a really good 951 for $10k that we'd be looking at $30k for. So I think you need someone like a CPR who was a benevolent fan so much so that he designed and produced his splitters most likely at break even or probably a loss, to make up a twin pipe X over and downpipe...plus mount, that you could then bolt on one of these type turbos. Otherwise, buy the turbo, get your shop to do all the work at a considerable expense and hope you have decent components that last the distance. Just ask Rod how much time and money he's put into his. Not that it's any of my business to broadcast this, nor do I know the figure, but unfortunately one offs just cost a lot of money. Especially outside of the U.S. where good work is a lot more costly too.

Then why are the spool numbers being menitoned so bad?? VTG and 1 bar at or after 3,000 rpm???

Sorry, but that is not VTG. VTG is 1 bar at 2,500 or less.

The spool numbers being mentioned are not even as good as Vitesse so why bother with all the fab etc. for inferior spool up, etc. ?
