Bell Turbo is where I have bought parts from. My father and I know them personally. They can get stuff straight from Germany, which takes a little while, or they know someone back east who is very familiar with the KKK turbos you can buy parts from.

I believe the "good" rebuild kits will have a 360 degree thrust bearing instead of a 270 degree. Don't quote me on that as I'm not 100% sure.

Could you get away without balancing, if you mark the shaft it and reinstall it in the same position?

I had majestic rebuild my turbo. They found a bunch wrong with it and had to do some machining. Just saying that it's not always just slapping a new seal in
