Does anyone have a used stock KLR chip for a K26 (if that makes a difference) laying around gathering dust that they'd be willing to let go for cheap? I am going to put my APE stage III maf kit up for sale soon, so I'll need to pull that chip out of my KLR to sell as a set, and I can't find the stock chip that I pulled out 7 years ago...

I don't need the whole KLR, just the chip.

damn, i've got a working klr not a working chip for the klr. good luck with it. try lart? and IICR someone was selling a DME and a KLR chip set see if it's up for sale still and if he's willing to part. he wouldn't part for me but things may change

I'm looking for a stock Turbo S KLR chip (my KLR was swapped from a Turbo S by a PO), and after a few searches, it looks like part # 2227355531 is what I need.

Although I suspect any stock KLR chip might work, so that includes part numbers 1267355131 and 1267355181 as well.

Can anyone confirm what the difference in KLR chips between Turbo and Turbo S is? Or if I need to use the Turbo S KLR chip if my KLR unit originally came out of a Turbo S?

All I know is that the car runs fine with the APE Stage III KLR chip (marked for a K26/6), and I want to pull that out and replace it with stock...

i was under the impression the DME was the only chip that increased in pin number. so a chip from a 86-87 would work

I believe you are correct, the pin count hasn't changed in the KLR, so any year should fit. I just wasn't sure if any functionality had changed from non-S to S in the KLR. Either way, I'm pretty sure I could use either chip in my car.

If you've got a spare KLR chip kicking around, how much are you looking to get for it? I've asked Lart also and he's looking through his inventory to see if he's got any KLR chips without a home too. Maybe between you and Lart, we can come up with two chips so that Paulyy & I can both get what we need
