Anyone who is thinking of modding their 951 should save themselves the trouble and just buy this car!

Thanks Joel - hope to see you on the track in 2012! I'm having serious sellers remorse, and haven't even sold it yet.

The car is perfectly comfortable on the street. It's not a Cadillac, but it's also not stiff and bouncy like a stock 996 GT3. I personally think it's a perfect compromise - fantastic on the track and still comfortable enough for the street. I can't imagine anyone driving my car and thinking it's too stiff for street use.

Hey Ian, PM sent on the tires.

Car looks fantastic, BTW. I'll echo what others have said: don't settle for anything less than $20k. Hell, we need to drive the value of these cars up anyway...

Thanks guys. Sorry - I don't want to part with any of my track tires yet. I only plan to sell stuff separately if I end up selling the car to someone who doesn't want track parts. If and when I sell the car, I'll let you know if track tires are available. If it doesn't sell, I'll be hitting the track in the spring, and will need the track tires.

Well folks, my car is now sold. Local buyer, good guy who has spent the last several years pointing people by on the track in his 944S2. He's looking forward to being the guy who's doing the passing now.

It's a bitter sweet feeling for sure, I'll miss that car. I'll still snoop around in the 951 forum, so I guess this is not good bye.

Ian, that's great news. I met an S2 owner here in Portland from Van a year ago. It was a blue one. Is this the buyer? Congrats again.

That's him. His S2 is nice, a sunroof-delete car from Japan. Has the euro rear bumper, euro side markers and no side reflectors. He was definitely itching for more power though.

I picked up a 2004 GT3 with lots of track mods - factory Clubsport cage (front half currently removed), fixed-back Recaros, FVD headers, FVD ecu tune, Europipe exhaust, GT3RS lightweight flywheel / clutch / pulley, cup car shift cables, cup brake scoops, cup splitter, TRG droplinks / rear monoball upper strut mounts, toe links, ... Fun car, I'm enjoying it.
