I'm running the Bosch HV from Lindsey. I modified the factory rubber surround/mount and it fits just fine. Running with E85 (18-20 PSI) for around 2,000+ miles since September and I'll be running it all winter.

When we first put one in my car I was expecting it to sound like some lawnmower by what people were saying, but I can't say I've ever really noticed it. Having said that my car is noisy anyway so it wouldn't have worried me. The guy doing the wiring works on many different types of cars. He was the race engineer on the fastest Time Attack car and he wants me to use 3x 044s! He just casually dropped this into the same conversation that he assumed I would be running 30psi all day long!

Don't know about the 044 being incompatible for E85. Been using one for a couple of years. So what do you do, pull them out and test them? What about them fails?

I want to say I made a thread on this. I am not sure. But I know theres a bunch on installing the 044. Like a lister said on here make sure u put the bigger gauge on the pump. And the stock insulation is hard to make it work. Just take some silicon coupling to replace the factory.

Got my Walbro from Pauertuning.
I have only a couple of drives on E85 but I can say it didn't lean out on my 3.0 at 18psi with 83lbs/hr injectors.

I don't think installation would be that hard, I guess it would be OK to use the original wires and put it to a relay and run a fused wire from the battery (mines in the boot) through the relay to the pump

That's good i guess. I've never been to keen on walbro pumps, a lot of people I've spoken to just call them rubbish.

No, no need just a thick gauge for the ground

I have the stock FP on my CA E-85 car, no issues so far, but realize it is undersized. I will install the 044 soon with the relay and new wiring. I have the 044 on my FL car and it is not noisy, of course I have a 4" open exhaust on that car, so can't hear much over that. I have the Walbro 255 on my 450 RWP 300ZX turbo and on my 350 RWHP RX7 turbo. I have never had any issues with either. The last two have been installed for over ten years now. Just saying...

Based on the Bosch data sheets the 0-580-254-044 (FP200) is E85 compatible. The stock pump is not listed as E85 compatible.

Saw an add for this pump. I have no knowledge of it except to say that they advertise it compatible with E85...
