Let me know how your GP buy works out and PM me if you are interested in pricing.
thanks,
Alex, the stock DP uses studs at the lower flange, but yours doesn't appear to. Do you recommend a bolt/nut arrangement when installing yours, or are the holes threaded for studs?

Make sure he has a good rig because a 3 inch DP comes very close to the AOS. getting coated is a must

Hey zermatt, our top pipe just has holes for new hardware. So we include new Bolts and nuts with the system.

Dougs, yes the top pipe is 2.75" due to the flange size on the turbo and clearance in that area. It then it goes to 3.0" on the downpipe section, all the way back.

Ah so your downpipe is for a stock turbo.
I would still be interested in a 2.75"

Alex,

Thanks for "chiming" in. I have always had a high regard for Fabspeed products. The initial reason for trying to source out this 3" pipe is the retail price associated with it. Your full exhaust systems are beautiful and IMHO warrant the pricey tag but (to me) the materials and cost to produce this small pipe seems high. Maybe you can give us a group buy (minimum of 10) price? This thread might veer left... so to speak.

Otherwise, I'm sure you'll keep tabs on our progress...

If I may speak for us all: We'll see how this venture pans out, weigh our options and decide (majority rule) how to proceed.

Hey Teamcrossworks, thanks for the feedback and no problem, I will see what kind of pricing I can come up with for you guys. Are we talking about the small Turbo Top Pipe or the big Downpipe with the waste-gate plugin?

Also interested in the Fabspeed 2.75" downpipe (Turbo Top Pipe/Turbo Outlet Pipe) as it is supposed to match up to the fabspeed 3" catpipe that is necked down at the flange.

ok the Turbo Top is $300 and if we can get 5 buyers, I will do a 20% discount. If we get 10 or more, I will do a 25% discount. Let me know if that will work guys. This pipe will bolt right up to our 3.0" Downpipe.
thanks,

thanks,
Alex,

Yes, we are talking about the small "turbo top" pipe and 25% off is very generous. Thank you. Will your "turbo top" pipe only bolt up to a Fabspeed exhaust? I didn't even think of that before...although I love your exhausts, at this time I don't have one. I don't know about anyone else.

To update the initial focus of the thread; I have been in contact (multiple times) with Tommy at RG and while he is interested in working with us, the original jig his employee Lowell used to fabricate Ian's piece was unfortunately misplaced midst a shop relocation. I will be shipping him a downpipe I have laying around tomorrow for him to create another jig and we will proceed from there. He's assured me the materials (SS) and workmanship will be top notch (as Ian has already commented on).

Pricing will come after receiving my stock pipe and some more discussion between owner and employee. We should have something by early next week.

Hopefully Ian will be able to add some pictures to occupy our time until then...
