Methonal is alcohol. And no, there is a pressure switch that starts spraying at a preset boost.

Toddk911 - You are correct - methanol is corrosive as is nitro. Components must be made from stainless, viton etc. in a water/methanol system. Alcohol - assuming you mean denatured isn't as good an antidetonant as methanol and simply doesn't deliver the HP increase in a boosted car.
The stage-1 kit is activated by an adjustable boost pressure switch ( 3-15psig).

Snowperformance,
Million Dollar Question: On the Nitro application, can you smell the Nitro when you're running it!?!?!?

FYI ppls.... Nitro is like crack for motor-heads... Proceed with caution. =)

Just a little bump..
Tomorrows the last day for the Rennlist price, (unless Matt wants to extend it) <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

I decided to upgrade to the 100psi pump (from the 60psi). Mostly so that I would be assured assure of full atomization under potentially high boost levels. Hey, I'm a dreamer and I've bought enough things in my lifetime that I ended up having to upgrade again later.

Matt, Bill asked a question earlier about deleting the holding tank. I too have this big washer tank that is doing nothing right now and no place to put the tank included in the kit. (These engine compartments are packed tight). Can we delete the tank?

Looking forward to full advance and full boost!

DanD - Thanks for posting the deadline on the group purchase for the Boost Cooler. We need three more to make the six kits for the $225 price ( $ 299 retail). Again, if we don't make it, I'll give you the option of the e-bay promotion reserve price of $249. Also, I've learned of a rule on this site of no group buys - the moderator was nice enough to let us go through with this but I don't know about the future - this maybe the last opportunity for $225 through Rennlist.
The reservoir is very inexpensive- approx. $4.50 in the large quantities that I buy. Actually, the Quik-connect bulkhead costs more. If only a bulkhead is needed, I could reduce the cost by $4.50.
Come on! just three more!

Matt, what are your opinions on a dual stage system, i.e. running twin nozzles set up in a stagger. 1 nozzle right before the throttle body and the other farther back.

Pros, cons???

I was just thinking, Could xylene and/or Tulorine (spelling?) be used? They are very high octane and seem to cool as well as alcohol does. Any comments on this?

I plan on using a Xylene/Water mixture.

Great news! The buy is IN! (I feel like Miami Vice)

Here is what I found to spray. Will this work? Alcohol Injection.

Fatal attraction..

Toddk951 -Although we haven't tried the staggered nozzle idea, we have tested different distances from the TB and found more power by being closer to the TB. We aren't sure why this is.

DanD - the washer fluid should do the trick - -20°f= 46% methanol - $1 per gallon - you can't go wrong! How much is toluene or xylene and what are the benefits? Some racing gas is mainly toluene.

I'm getting the kits ready - should be able to ship Fri if the snow stops - 3' yesterday and last night - shut down everything - no UPS or USPS -it's still snowing!
