Post LSD,springs & t-bars...

Ok,I had my first day at racetrack last weekend. While it was fun I made few notes about things to improve in my car...not to speak about my driving,LOL!
At this moment I don't need more power, the issue is controlling the power I have.
So:
1)There's no LSD in my car and it does need one.For reasons too long to explain in this thread I want to keep my original transmission and just add a LSD.Used or new,any opinions?
If new, what and where to get one, especially in Europe? If used, are ones found from 968,911 & 911C2 also usable in 951?Part numbers suggest so...This adds odds finding one.
2)Springs.Where to get about 250lbs springs at almost original length? I had Weltmeisters but they were too low and I don't like the idea of blocks added between springs and spring seats.
3)T-bars.Same problem,I need stiffer torsion bars (27-29 mm) but does anyone else make them than Weltmeister.I know they're good but I'd like to find them from Europe... As in springs original Porsche-parts seem to offer no help whatsoever.

Any help appreciated!!

Pete

i'd recommend a quiafe LSD - or just pick up a low-miles (km? ) factory lsd box, if the price is right (aka under 500-1000). i'm very happy with mine.

No, the 968 torsen diffs do not fit 944 trannys. Quaife and GT make torsen diffs that do fit, however.

Pete, As for a differential, quaife and GT make the Torsen type and GT I believe makes a clutch type that fit in the 951. For a lot of track work you may want to find a Turbo S tranny with lsd as they have stronger first and second gears. For a stiffer rear you could try finding a set of the 968 MO30 shocks with the helper springs to add to your existing torsion bar set up.

sorry for the confusion, i was asking about the 968 torsen LSD, not torsion bars. from what i understand the quaife is a torque bias diff like the torsen. gaurd transmission (GT) also sells both clutch and torsen types for the 944 and i think this is their unit at pelican parts

ive been looking at LSDs for a little while and im still very much undecided between a used lsd tranny or an aftermarket lsd for my trans.

Ok guys,

thanks for participation...
...about that LSD question.I scrolled through the PET and found out these part#s:
951: 951 332 053 03 ,M220 40% ZF
951: ___ ___ ___ o5 ,M758 40% ZF
930: 930 ___ ___ 03 ,---- 40% ZF
968: 950 ___ 063 00 ,---- 40% Torsen
968: ___ ___ 053 00 ,---- 40% ZF
911: ___ ___ ___ __ ,---- 40% ZF ( with G50 box)
964: ___ ___ ___ __ ,---- 40% ZF
964: ___ ___ ___ 01 ,---- 20-100% ZF

(___ means same # than above,--- means no info)

So this table raised few questions about interchangeability of those LSDs.But actually I don't have to worry about this anymore,I just kinda bought an used M220 LSD.
Now I just have to install it...

Van,those t-bars are just 25,5 mm,I'm seeking ones like 28 mm,about 250 lb/inch ones.

DanD,I don't like to sacrifice my brand-new Konis for those 968 units,so I'll seek stiffer t-bars.

por951turbo,look at Lindsay Racing's web-page,they sell Quaife.Quaife has also it's own page, and in their ad in April's Exellence they sold their unit for $100,- less than Lindsay. At $1195,- it's still pretty steep...

Does anyone have any experience in Eibach's springs in their 951???

Is the other one to 951S -> and the upper one to pre S models? Or?

The one that you have kinda bought..Any chance it's from Sami..?

No,it's neither Sami's extra 'box nor his LSD...I just happened to run to an available differential and it's now mine,I just have to pay and bring it home...
