Sad to see in a field! I drove it around for two days after the accident.. Whole lot o' car for the $225 bid it's at now!
The $225 is very misleading for us regular dudes, add in all the assorted fees, what looks like the deal of the century no longer is

You could even take your settlement money and DEFINITELY fix it for less.
I didn't want a storied car. I got under it and tried to measure suspension mounting points and it seemed to still be straight. One thing these pictures don't show well is that the sunroof is popping out some now.... It was a REALLY hard hit and I would be surprised if the wheelbase wasn't affected. Probably not more than a good adjustable suspension could compensate for, but I personally could never sink a bunch of money in to a Salvage title car. Doing all the work myself, I could have built a pretty wicked widebody V8 monster for "free" but that just didn't feel right.

No, but they translate to $$$ when people need the parts. Just doubt I could get it by the wife, seeing as my friends Galant is in my garage right now taking up space!

Still might not be terrible, depends on where the auction ends. If it ends about 1K I'd assume $400-500 in fees. + broker fees. Not including any shipping. That state requires auction purchase of salvage items to have a dealer license, hence the broker. So if anyone is interested, get a hold of a broker now.

Hate to say it but that price of 225 is super low.

If that car sells for less than 2500+ fees I will be shocked.

Im going to have to look into the purchase fees. Thats really cheap, I could use a spare engine and transaxle.

Internet Bid Fee
Copart offers bidding kiosks in the lobbies of all of its facilities. These kiosks can be used to place preliminary bids on vehicles located at that particular yard. If a winning bid was placed on a vehicle using a kiosk located at that yard, no internet fees are assessed against that vehicle. If the winning high bid was placed during Preliminary Bidding via the internet or during the live, virtual auction, Copart charges an Internet Bid Fee to the high bidder. The fee is based upon the high bid amount: a fee of $35.00 for sale prices from $1.00 up to $999.99, a fee of $50.00 for sale prices from $1,000.00 - $1,999.99, a fee of $75.00 for sale prices of $2,000.00 or higher.
Gate Fee
A $30.00 Gate/Loading Fee is assessed to all vehicles. This fee covers the movement of the vehicle from Copart’s sale/storage facilities to the buyer’s loading area. For buyers whom are picking up the vehicle with vehicle transporters, this fee covers the time and manpower required to assist the driver in loading the vehicle onto the truck. Drivers are 100% responsible for securing their load at all times.
Additional Fees (if applicable):
If a vehicle and all applicable fees are not completely paid within 3 business days of purchase including the sale day, a fee of $50.00 per vehicle will be assessed. In addition, storage will begin to accrue on vehicles at the rate of $20.00 per day after 7 days, including sale day, if the high bid was placed over the internet or after 3 days, including the sale day, if the high bid was placed during preliminary biding using a kiosk at the yard.
