Post GURU Racing MAP-sensor kit is HERE !!!

For those who've been nipping at your heels, thank you for the pressure and your wishes are our command:

We are ready to ship the Stage-1 kit for stock 951s with K26/6 turbos. The kit includes the following:

[*] custom-programmed DME chip with fuel-settings for stock, 55lb/hr and 72lb/hr injectors (no fuel-pressure or tuning adjustments necessary)[*] AFM-Link MAP-sensor fuel computer[*] 3" K&N filter[*] filter-adapter for stock J-pipe w/integral air-temp sensor (not pictured)[*] installation & tuning manual with 951-specific wiring[*] GURU Racing Boost-Maximizer controller pre-set for 15psi boost (wastegate shims included if necessary)[*] 3-bar fuel-pressure regulator[*] DIY kit-pricing: $945 (that's $100 below our initial estimates and there's more stuff included!)[/list=a]

The kit removes your entire intake system for the most free-flow intake possible:

There are no sensors of any kind to restrict flow to the turbo. Next up in a couple weeks is a Stage-2 kit with a larger 4" K&N filter, custom J-pipe with cold-air isolation, and about 5% more torque. However, both the Stage-1 and Stage-2 kits will be maxing out your stock injectors and turbo, so we don't recommend any more than Stg1@15psi or Stg2@14psi without larger injectors. A 944NA kit is also in the works.

To summarize the main benefits of this kit:
 • no extra wiring needed anywhere (all self-contained inside passenger footwell and uses the stock wiring)
 • no flow limits because there's no flow-sensor (works with stock K26/6 turbo @11psi up to K37/12 @45psi)
 • extremely precise digitally-programmable fuel-curve (adjustable in 500rpm increment +/-127% across 9 load ranges from idle to full-boost)
 • datalogging of all parameters with $70 optional PC-serial interface

For those who've sent us private emails previously regarding this kit, we've sent you a reply. Please call or email us for further details.

Thanks everyone for your help and patience!

For those just joining-in or have forgotten about this kit, please review the threads that lead up to this project (the answers to most your questions should be there):

How about a kit for the 951 S's? How much extra is the fuel controller, and how much boost do the chips add in for?

TIA

Awesome! Two questions:

How much approximate power for a stock car?

If I already have the 3 bar FPR can I delete it for credit?

Thanks

So Danno, with this kit installed, you could swap out the injectors for 55 or 72 pounders and wire in your electronic boostr controller and head for the dyno, right?

The chips supplied won't foul that up, correct?
So essentially, the kit will grow with you on the HP ladder?

Danno, do you have a before and after dyno sheet with hp and tq #?
And maybe a pic of the end result of the setup on the car.
thanks.

man i want one, gonna have to wait until the body work is done though.

good work danno! Youve done what tuners seem to never be able to do. Keep the price where you estimate from the get-go. Yours is actually lower!!! That's gotta be a 1st in the Porsche world

What would need to be done to get the kit to work with a larger turbo? I have a Garrett 60-1 Hifi and am planning on upgrading to 55# injectors at the same time.

Is there a stage 3 or 4 kit in the works? Is adapting a stage 2 kit as simple as a different DME chip?

Does this mean that at one particular load/rpm site, you could add 127% more fuel, or just 27% more fuel? Go from a 10msec injector pulse to a 22.7msec injector pulse, or just to a 12.7msec injector pulse?

WOW SOUNDS GOOD.

So with the custom chips, you wouldn't need to tune a/f until new turbo, injectors, etc. ??

Also, on a business note, you might want to trademark or copyright before other tuners get it, copy it and try to take away from your marketshare. just my 2 cents

K37/12 45psi???? holy crap!!!. what model has is that turbo in???

I am interested. I just have to wait for the "student loan" to arrive. How much hp are we talking about here, and do you have a comparison chart showing stock vs. modified tq and hp curves??

I wanna see some pics and some numbers. I'd LOVE to have this in my car. It would go nicely with new injectors and 57trim hybrid.

Oh how I need to sell my "other" car and put the money in the p-car.
