I have to disagree here...Depending on how much of a power-increase is planned...
If this is the stock head-gasket, then the webbing is deteriorated, and will not hold-up well to increased power-output.
When I blew mine it was deteriorated as Josh and others have said. If I would have started with a fresh head gasket along with the mods and increased boost...well, it wouldn't have popped.
