Great! How much of an issue is the rubbing? I assume stock ride height for you right now. Do you think the would be suitable if lowered by an inch or so?

MY02 boxsters had an option for the same wheel but with 7.5" fronts and 9" rears. I went with these instead because I could get the 8"/10" to fit at stock ride height but they still rub if lowered.

Make fun of your tags? Hell no. They do, however make me cringe, realizing that I first drove one in my senior year of high school.

Rubbing is only an issue in the rear. So far it has only happened when I pulled into a gas station that had a big elevation changed in the pavement from the main road. If you ran 9" inch wheels on the rear with a smaller tire and the right spacers you might not have any problems rubbing. Lowered might be a different story. I'm ridding at stock height.

O-H!!!! There are limits of use with the historical plates, though I've never seen or heard of anyone getting pulled over for driving when they are not supposed to with them. My Dad has a '66 GMC pick up that he still uses from time to time to haul wood and some other things with historical plated and has never ran into any trouble.

here is a link to the Ohio BMV historical plate page.

Got to be the shiniest car I have ever seen. Has it been repainted? I don't see any orange peel like when it comes from the factory. I had mine repainted and there is no orange peel now. My painter does not let a car leave his shop with any orange peel.

I have not had the car repainted, but I've only owned it since May. I know the previous owner did not have it panted either. He only had the car for two years though.

I was actually thinking about keeping them black but updating them to a glossier black. Haven't given much thought on the letter coloring.
