Default 951 engine flush

Advice needed.
My 951 has always had a questionable compression on one of the cyclinders. For this reason i was advised to take off any performance components on the car.
I am running the stock 220bhp which is fast enough for me.

However, I have heard that an engine flush maybe beneficial to the car and compression.

How would i flush the engine at home? What would i use? Any help appreciated.

Rav

not sure how this would help. If the piston rings are going, an engine flush may not be the answer.

What are the compression numbers for each cylinder?

I second it might not make much difference. kinda like the people that buy stop leak taking off the performance parts might prolong the engine life but fixing the problem should be the apparent course of action

The only way the cooling system will effect your compression is when you blow a head gasket. You will find out any a hurry how incompressible water is. If you do not know what your compression is for each cylinder, what makes you think one of them is questionable? Without compression numbers it could be a variety of items.

Bob - The previous seller sold me the car quite cheaply. The reason being that he told me that the compression on one of the cylinders was low. He went and got himself a later 250bhp car and continued with his planned modifications.
I will need to take my own compression test results asap and will come back to this thread as soon as i have some facts.
Thanks for your replies.
