See, if you only know America's highways, drag is definitely the thing for you, for those who know the complexity and challenges of foreign roads speed achieved in 1320ft is not as important as handling and balance.

Oh, come on... that's the last thing we need! Everybody always calls our cars RX7's already... we don't need to fan those flames!

Lol,

But seriously I think they're fine to drag race. Obviously not on a high level but for the casual racer.

I drag raced competitively for years and honestly this car can be a bit more fun due to the ease if it. Hel I'm beating mustangs and camaros regularly (the usual dr variety) and my et's are getting pretty consistent.

With a 16v and a good trans I think it'll hold up fine.

I say this with all due respect.

Hmm, I guess I should just quit trying then ... Lol. It's pretty close now to the 11's. So far so good on my trans after probably 50 runs in the last couple months. Knock on wood as I'm going again tonight.

Yes, they did. There are a few Japanese cars from that era that definitely took some styling cues from the 924/944. The RX7 and the Starion/Conquest come to mind quickly...

Meh? There is no 944 styling cue in the 240Z.

Sure there is... didn't you know that Nissan invented the Flux Capacitor in the 80's, and then used it to go back in time and design the 240Z after the 924/944? I thought that was common knowledge...

And crying about a head-gasket is about the last thing I can think of Sid doing, lol.

No, these cars will never be 1000hp monsters (but neither are Supras without a significant amount of work). But, I don't think that was Sid's point anyway.

Sid is correct, I doubt any of the LSx guys want to come out, I don't blame them - as their ~400rwhp turns into ~300rwhp at our tracks DA... I wouldn't want to get shown-up by some lowly 2.5L turbo-4s either.
LOL. I'll take that challenge someday. hopefully sooner than later.

No disrespect interned. You guys get big props from me!

It's just the thought of scattering my LSD, tranny doing something the car was not designed to do, scares the hell out of me!

But we can all learn from you guys and that's what modding cars is about!

We only have one stop light in Dayton and it's guarded by cops, so it's not really an issue!
