My money is still on the bunny living in the tank, and what you are smelling are his little bunny farts from eating all that cheap *** dye you just poured into your tank!

Oh yeah? well if it's just dye-eating bunny farts, why did it smell before I put dye in??? What do you have to say about that hole in your logic? huh??

Spoke with Travis yesterday and the ruling is... he just as confused as I am. But, he's sending me new lines which should be here on Saturday. Hopefully that magically fixes it. It would be nice...

The ruling? I didn't rule that! I said you were crazy and should just get it over with and eat your room mate. Oh, and I am also leaning toward the bunny idea.

Yes, I ran the car, both idle and a quick run up and down the street, and, still no dye...
Fire extinguisher on hand at all times now since the fire...

OR
Perhaps the bunny was subsisting on the R&P, and the dye lured him away from the gearbox just in time!
Good thing you put the dye in either way!

It's ok, I "borrowed" the neighbor's car and shoved him into the tank... That should get that damn bunny!

Ok, so, I got new fuel lines from Travis and the new ones are definitely different than the first ones that I got... The first set had a... "rigidity"? (I can't come up with a better word) similar to that of silicone vacuum line... a little more rigid than that, but still, very squishy. The new ones are definitely more rigid, I wouldn't say hard, but, more so than the old ones. A perfect example is that the old return line slid easily over the nipple on the 3bar FPR, whereas the new one took pretty much every ounce of strength I could muster to push over it. I'm not sure which is the "right" way for them to be, but they are definitely different.
So, anyway, I put the new lines on and jumped the pins for the DME relay to run the pump and... the F'in jumper line from the damper to the rail started spraying fuel out of where the fitting is crimped on! DAMN IT! I just had that line rebuilt at a local hydraulic shop!
GRRRR!!!
