I've never heard of "Harold Smithey" being used as a generic name. -A quick web search (because things may have changed since I moved to live in the US) also failed to turn up any suggestion that it may be a commonly used "john doe" placeholder.

Did you leave the house number off? -Other than that, that address is valid. Not far from where I grew up. (My sister still lives within sight of the Blackpool tower)

So how these scammers find victims, I have been doing business on ebay for near 10 years, over 3,581 Feedback received, and I have yet to be a victim of a scam, how do these crocks know where to find dumb and dumber?

Not really sure how they find them, but it happens. I knew this was fake and have taken measures to catch these losers.
