Default New Product: MoMonitor Pre Release.

We are redesigning the Vitesse Motronic Monitor (MoMonitor "TM"). Our goal is to make it operate as a standalone Data logger at a very affordable price.

The MoMonitor allows the user to record and playback data logs of what is taking place in the DME. You get to see the various sensors and variables as seen and processed by the DME.
The system will save you time and money when diagnosing problems. Instead of measuring the various sensors and checking the wires, just review the logged data and find out the status of the sensors (TPS, Engine Temp, MAF, Boost or Vacuum, Overboost, MAP sensor failure, Injectors duty cycle,...) as seen and processed by the DME.. The task that used to take hours to complete, now can be done in seconds.. If you are experiencing a intermittent problem, log the data then review to figure out the details...

The new MoMonitor will operate as a standalone with a removable memory media, not requiring a laptop for logging. Start/End a log session is a simple press of a button. Multiple log sessions are supported.
Log files can be transferred to your laptop for further analysis, or emailed to have a second set of eyes to review the data.
We will provide you the software to run on your laptop, with: playback, FF, Rewind, step FF, Step Rew and Pause functionality.
The system will allow you to generate a CSV file, to be used with various external systems.

The MoMonitor requires you run the Vitesse MAF software.

The MoMonitor can be added to any Vitesse MAF system (2004 or newer).
Some variables may not be applicable and cannot be displayed with older MAF systems.
The latest V-MAF+ software release, which is the only MAF system we now offer (it combines the V-FLEX plus new features), allows the MoMonitor to display all the variables.

Target retail price is $250-300.
Target release date is: end of 2011- Early 2012.

If you are interested in this system, please post or email me. The initial production run will be limited. However if there is enough demand, we will increase the initial run. Of course, a larger quantity will reduce the MSRP.

Your comments will be appreciated.

The following picture is just an example of how the data will be displayed.

I'm extremely interested, particularly at the $250 price point.

The MoMonitor works with the Vitesse software and not with any other system.

If there is enough demand for this system, the price may even go lower. Our goal with this system to save time and money. Not to mention eliminating all sort of frustration!
There are numerous instances, where we spent 10-15 hours supporting a customer while they test sensors under various conditions. With this system, they log it and it's a matter of reviewing the data to figure out the possible causes.

Recently, I assisted a customer with a bad TPS. The TPS acts up when the engine gets hot, otherwise it was fine. Discovering the bad TPS took many hours, not to mention the frustration. The same task could have been completed in less than 5 minutes with the MoMonitor.

Anyone on this forum already knows what is involved in diagnosing a problem. Testing the sensors, the wires,.. How many replaced many sensors just to eliminate them as a possible cause? The MoMonitor saves time, takes away the guess work and saves you money.

Sign me up also, this would have saved alot of diagnostic time with my lean spot issue!

Any more details on the install? Will it be a standalone unit that is wired in or something different?

Installation will be very very simple, 1-3 wires. It will have a "removable storage media"..
We are considering a portable version .. About all the details I'm able to provide now.

Exactly, it would have saved us lots of time, instead of "191" emails checking things, it would have been 1-2 emails.. It wouldn't have been possible to know that the fuel dampener was bad, but you would have ruled out all sort of things without having to test each sensor by itself.
