OEM is NOT Porsche original. Sachs from Porsche is not ALWAYS the same that Porsche sells, the same for brakes (like Brembo), hoses and other parts etc.
Porsche always check the parts AGAIN when they come to the factory. Many parts pass the quality control at the supliers factory but failed at Porsche Quality control.
ther eare Porsche genuine parts, Porsche OEM parts and cheap aftermarket parts. you can see the difference if you use Porsche rotors at Nürburgring. Then you know the difference.

So I'll bite -
what are the chances of getting 996 GT2 brakes to fit one of our cars?

I am working to make a kit for the 86 951 to fit the Gt2 brakes or at least the 996 TT Monoblock brakes front. I know that the 996 TT brakes fits in the front :-) They fit without a problem in the 87+ cars
