I saved 2 high-mileage cars and one lemon. Does that give me the right to complain?

<complaint>Getting cheap parts is nice, but if POs took better care of the cars, not only would we all need less parts, but there would be less run-down cars out there that nobody but a dismantler wants. I hate seeing these awesome cars get killed.</complaint>

Everyone hates seeing these cars get ripped apart. Go to a Porsche web site and see how much a new 944 turbo engine and transmission cost... then tell me if you would like to buy used parts. I have about 951 and the only way I expect to get over $5,500 for mine is if I paint it.

The car was loaded onto a 3 car hauler as of this evening at 8:00. I am expecting to get it either tomorrow or Friday. Was $700 to have it shipped to Atlanta. I will post up some pics as soon as I can. Pretty curious to see what it looks like myself as I haven't gotten any pics. Big thanks to Bill for being really easy to work with on the sale and very helpful to the shipping guys.

Never got any pictures? Now I am wondering what it will look like even more. Will have to stop by and see it at some point.

Ouch, that is ROUGH. Rust is like cockroaches, for every 1 you see, there are 100 you miss. I"d be afraid of what the floors look like. Josh'll probably go through five gallons of PB Blaster taking that car apart, and still break half the bolts. No one in their right mind would try to "save" this car - and this coming from a guy who "saved" a car many encouraged its prior owner to part.

Where do you get it? My father-in-law used to be able to get some from some of the plants he dealt with, but is not aware of its availability to non-commercial entities. He swears by it, too.

I guess since I've never dealt with rust I didn't think it looked too bad but you guys say it's a goner, it must be a goner. In which case, by all means, part that sumbich!
