944 Manuals, CDROM
Hey guys, I down loaded the 944/9051 tech manuals and burned them on CD ROM. Anyone that doesn't have high speed access and doesn't want to take 20+hrs to download, let me know and I will burn and mail a copy of the manuals to you. Just need some money for cost of CD's and shipping. I can next day them to you from my work. 
Feel free toemail me direct if interested. It is about 500+ meg of info and has all volumes in Adobe format.

Porsche did not copyright this manual (or many of their others). Instead, Porsche's practice has been to sell manuals only to Porsche dealers. Their contract with dealers prohibits dealers from making factory service information available to non-dealers <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

I just opened my 944 turbo factory manual to the backside of the first page and found:
'The Workshop Manual is intended for internal use within the Porsche Organization.' There is a 'C' within a cirlcle in front of that comment followed by 1985. Below it it states 'All rights reserved.'
Walks like a copyright looks like a copyright must be a copyright.

Turn the lights out, you're thinkig too hard.
It does make one wonder if they sell the manuals at a dealer yet they say internal use only.
I have heard that the US is one of the few places where you can buy a full set of manuals. Maybe the front page is their stand and they never changed the wording for the manuals sold here.
If I decide to sell my manuals I won't be asking Porsche for permission

Let's refrain from trying to peddle ilega copyrighted material here, ok?
The manuals are copyrighted. If you want them there are many places that can sell them - check the Rennlist sponsers.
