Maybe he has just been gone a long time, forgot to ship your stuff, saw he was getting slammed, got mad and posted his last post and sent your stuff just recently and you will soon get it. But claims it has been "misteroisly lost" for a long time in the mail or something.. I think that is the case, he wouldent just walk away with the intent of knowingly ripping you off. Esp. after this.

Im interested in those pipes and BOV, but I DO NOT want to be part of the situation that is taking place. I have been in them before with Rennlister's and it is hard to know which party is telling the truth unless a witness was there to contest. So, to whoever that is selling those pieces; let me know @

Thanks,
Gabe

Blurry, i fabricated a nice BOV setup for my car, ill take some pictures monday. It is the stock intercooler to throttle body pipe, with the stock BOV port welded over, and a large (1.5 inch or so i think) flange tig welded to the left of the intercooler pipe, with a new large apexi knock off 50$ MASSIVE BOV on it via a small piece of raidaitor hose. I have my car all torn down for my Guru map install so i wont have used it until i get that done. Also it will not work with the stock AFM, only with something to the right of the engine bay behind the headlight.

Ian knowing Tony from email only, id say hes a bit pissed, only for the slander of his integrity while he was away on business, id assume he is sending the money off to you within the next few days... hes not happy about the war of words and is expecting to pay you, but at his leisure, dont expect him to run to the post office today to send you a money order, but hopefully in a day or two all will be settled up, i know Tony has never lied to make a quick hundred or three, all will be settled soon, but this shows all that let the buyer beware, another reason to setup a renn/escrow parts middleman, Tony please send his money if he has been telling the truth, thanks

Ian,
I hope all turns out well. I'd like to think that, generally speaking, doing business with Rennlisters is as easy as falling of a log.

Howdy!

It is a shame, but this sort of thing is happening more frequently than you may guess.

In December I purchased a 1986 944 turbo from Mr. Don Adkins in Colorado, but the money, the car, and Mr. Adkins have disappeared and I can no longer get any response from him. It is now going on three months since I paid (the entire amoount) for the car.

Funny thing is that when I mentioned this was happening on Rennlist a month ago, I got absolutely blasted by some uninformed members on this list for being too unfair to the gentleman. Why this is, I don't understand as I am the only one in the deal to have fulfilled my end of the bargain.

I hope you have luck in getting your money back. I have come to the conclusion that I have lost the entire purchase price of the car. Tuition of life, I suppose.

Joe,

I hope someone can find Don for you, because I know this little amount really gets to me, I can't imagine what a whole purchase price of a car would do....

No, it has not been resolved, if a check arrives, I will post it, and let everyone know it has been resolved.

If tony gets in touch with me, again I will let people know. My contact info is in the first post of this thread, so it is not hard to get in touch with me.

Again, these post were not made with anger in mind, I was frustrated with my futile attempts to get in touch with someone, and at least I know he has read them.
