You're putting less volume of gas through the exhaust and not reintroducing it and causing turbulence. How much HP that's worth, I have no idea.

Plus it sounds cool.

Next up though, is to measure the exhaust pressure after the downpipe and then make a 4" exhaust. I have everything to do it now so hopefully soon.
Where did you get 2.25-3" couplers??

A company out of colOrado springs, I think the name is "votion" or something like that. I just ordered 2 new ones for 25 shipped. If you don't do it right away I may have a couple extras if I can install the big ic.

Todd,
The Lightning MAF sensor is pretty sensitive to the housing it is in... If you do sway housings, make sure it is the same diameter.
Also, Sid is correct, the problem is the sharp transitions between the Lightning MAF housing and the intake piping. Ideally, if you need to do a transition, then the angle should be as minimal as possible.

Sid: ok sounds good.

Josh: Ok, I will keep the same housing and just try to maybe fab up a gradual step dwon from the maf to the turbo. Right now I am MAF to 3.5 to 3 into the turbo.
