You said still street and ac, etc. I am curious to what set up, fluids, driver, etc. was the 2,900lbs reading?

No muffler; racing seats; racing battery; Light weight wheels; 1/4 tank gas. Standard configuration for the street weight with stock seats, regular battery, muffler and "stock" 18" wheels is about 3,075lbs. No driver.

This is what I'm being told. It does make sense. Put another way if you are spinning tires and not moving you can stay all day doing that without finishing the run but once moving you can't. I know lots of people have lots of theories, and most are at least partially true, albeit often exaggerated in my estimation. My direct experience contradict much of what I have been told as well.

Only one way to really find out for your specific car/setup - put on your sticky tires for your next event.
Based on my experience I will guesstimate you pickup a consistent 6mph.
This assumes all else is the same. If you can up the boost on the big end that may get you some additional mph.

I also anticipate it will be as fun as the first event and maybe more as you will be more comfortable with the venue/car, etc.

The turbo is a Garrett T04 60-1 BB. Tried a Billet Precision 6265 BB .68 a/f few months ago. Did not gain any hp and lost torque down low. It was like an on/off switch pretty high in the rpm counter. Precision turbos seem to work better in high boost and high rpm applications, which is not my case. Might work with a different a/r but why bother spending the money when I already have a very sweet setup with more than enough hp/tq.

Angel,

I'm using a Billett Precision 6262 BB with a .58 on my 3.1 and we are getting boost at tip in. By 3K we are seeing over 10lbs and well before 4K it's at whatever the boost controller is set. We are still tuning, and expect to see slightly better spool up when we begin to advance the timing more.

We did have Precision build this turbo for this motor, and that may have something to do with the results.

Garrity built this motor, and I sent him your videos.

Yeah I'm still impressed.

Thanks for answering my questions too through tge other thread. One other thing I am directly curious about is what clutch setup you're using. I have had a few issues myself and want to see what is really working. Tia

Guess I was too optimistic in my first post in this topic where I predicted around 160 mph.

But really, traction doesn't matter much on tops speed events and as weird as it may seem, weight also plays small role. What matters though is aerodynamics (low drag and frontal area and the function of those) plus of course top end power.

Anyone have any more details on zagaone's current motor. Very impressive for sure.

Traction is a big deal if you cant hook up below 120mph :/
