What I felt is that MPH will improve if I were to have better traction once already on the way. The problem I was having was that I was breaking lose the tires already moving pretty fast. I understand that spinning the tires at launch don't make to much of a difference. But spinning/breaking lose the tires onces ther car is moving pretty fast in third gear does not help mph. Is like in proffesional drag racing, once you spin the tires after launch you are done. I'm I making any sense? Needless to say people were scratching their head about the old Porsche, but I'm already used to that from the PCA and road racing events. Thanks.

How hard you can pull through the lower gears is really not as significant to MPH as you would logically think. Hard to explain why exactly, but it is. Timing equipment doesn't lie.

From what I'm being told if you spin the tires in the low gears you are really just doing that: spinning tires without any forward movement so the car is not really moving forward using up the half mile or whatever distance there is. But once the car is moving at a significant pace whatever tire spinning happens does not really allow the additional torque to be converted to additional forward movent but at the same time the car is already moving at a significant pace consuming huge amount of distance without gaining anything. This is what I'm being told. It does make sense. Put another way if you are spinning tires and not moving you can stay all day doing that without finishing the run but once moving you can't. Obviously taking about distsance event. Timing events are something else.

Do you have a build thread or site somewhere.
I'm curious of the turbo selection, shift rpms etc...
Has to be one of the baddest 4 cyl porsche cars around. And so clean too... Had me thinking about it all day

Left the muffler home with the stock driver seat. Straight 3" pipe. Clunking must be from the Kokeln torsion bar delete or the solid sway bar links. I'm always with a/c on and the windows closed, except at the track where I have the helmet on, so I don't hear or notice it.
The turbo is a Garrett T04 60-1 BB. Tried a Billet Precision 6265 BB .68 a/f few months ago. Did not gain any hp and lost torque down low. It was like an on/off switch pretty high in the rpm counter. Precision turbos seem to work better in high boost and high rpm applications, which is not my case. Might work with a different a/r but why bother spending the money when I already have a very sweet setup with more than enough hp/tq.

A better camera mount wouldn't hurt either.
