Default GT30 mega thread

I know theres some info laying around rennlist such as installs ect, but there isn't much comparison with hot housings .63 vs .82 ar or twin scroll housings or Dyno charts data loggs ect. So i want to start this thread for people who are looking at the gt30r option.

The reason i want to get this thread going is because i've found it hard to find info on these turbos myself for my build. so we can compair turbo vs mods vs housing.

So if anyone has any:
Data loggs
Dyno sheets
custom builds
full boost @ rpm
1bar @ rpm
any data what so ever please post it.

If you post links i'll post them up on this page so people can see them.

Links:

95ONE PHASE II

Azmi 951 turbo talk

GTX3071 vs GTX3076 turbo talk

Edman 951 turbo install

gt series turbo talk

Hopfully we can get something going.

yes but it's been rainning the past few days and i seriously have nothing better to do then look on rennlist. i cant drive anywhere because there's only bikes.

so when i come back on i'd like to see some info

i've been on the emails to the guy who's looking for my turbo parts at home and have been having problems with the .63 TiAL housing so i'm getting the .83 but i cannot find any info on the 2 spool wise power wise ect.

i found a data log from a 2.5 wrx that i made into a line graph. the 2 housing where use on the same tune (timing & afrs)

Seems very laggy but the point is that its ran on the same car with the same tune so might give some idea in spool times?

Discuss?

Hopefully Jonathan will chime in. He has Bruces old setup and M-tune. He also uses a decent data logger. I remember back awhile ago where he was achieving 1 bar at below 3k rpm.

Sid, I would LOVE to hear from Jonathan. I've been dying to see what he got it to do. I do know that he is using a full exhaust and I wasn't using much more than a glorified dump tube.

GT30/76R. .63 a/r on turbine. I had a 2.5 inch up pipe. I had custom intake and intercooler. larger fuel stuff and engine management. Stock head and bottom end. Boosted about 15psi right at 3K rpms. maybe sooner on the street because there is better load there than on the dyno. (just guessing.) BUT.. boost builds FAST.. So 23psi was right around 3300rpms. Did that over and over while tuning AFR's. E-85 gas.. (conservative race gas tune really) I've posted up some videos to hear how fast it spools. My autocross one give the obvious facts. as soon as I hit the gas out of a corner, it spooled. AND it was able to give me a dyno number of a little over 400 wheel hp. I think there was less than 1% correction factor. I turned it past that a few times, and It gave more power, but i never recorded it.
