Default Garrett GT series Turbos

I know some of you are running these already. Since I am planning on dumping the water cooling and having a custom DP, etc made now might be the time to switch (yeah, the T04E I have hasnt gotten off the floorboard of the car, I know, I know) to a GT Dual BB turbo. I would like to know

1) which one you are running

2) fitment issues with manifold if any

3) approximate cost

4) anyone interested in a brand new T04E?

Did you get rid of the dampener with the pauerman lines? Do you have pics of your fuel setup? I know I asked before, but I am a nagging bitch.

Hi Matt,
Depends on the kind of power that you're looking for.
I'm running a GT25TO4S. The boost threshold is
spectacular. Almost zero lag. After tuning I expect to
see 340-350 rwhp at 18-20 psi. Install was a big hassle
due to the size of the compressor housing. Everything
had to be either mod or custom made.
Edman 951 is running a GT30. You can checkout his
install. His install requires less mod cause the compressor
housing is smaller which mean that he could retain the
stock turbo height not to mention that the stock down pipe
can be reuse without any mods. BTW Edmans GT30 compressor
housing is a non standard issue. Check it out with him on the specs.

Hey Matt,

PM me this weekend and I'll send you pics of a GT25, GT30, and GT35 up against the 951 motor. Gives a pretty good view of what it takes to mount one of them up. I went nuts at the local turbo builder's shop one day........

NZ, no I do not have a damper and will not be running one. I had Pauerman make me a set with a 90 deg fitting. I can grab some pics but it is too late right now.

All, thanks!

Derek, if you are waiting on me sell them, I would need a few days to decide. I try not to make monetary decisions on a whim...thats how I ended up with yet another 944 in the first place

J Chen power requirement is 400RWHP at 21 psi. Trust me I have lots of goodies, the right idea has just come along at the right time.

Eivind, yes it is brand spanking *** new. I dont know how much let me find the replacement first.
