Lart, if anyone had the means to trade out parts and figure out what is wrong i would think it would be you. AFM and ICV. I would look here first. Im sure there are more air leaks but maybe that will keep it idling steady enough

I thought about the ICV , I thought it only worked when the Cruise Control was engaged?

try throwing another TPS on there...if the S has the same 2-position switch like the NA (idle/WOT) then it would idle like hell because it cant see its supposed to idle and is trying to run on part-throttle maps. but when you poke the AFM open a little it works ok.

?

I have the tps, anothe ICV, another afm, but can you believe the tps in under the tb in the rear of the engine and you thought working in turbos was bad

yea i pulled the head off an S one time for someone and i remember that whole thing being a b**ch to do...good luck. car looks nice, it'd be worth reselling once it runs right i think. maybe swap transmissions though

If ICV on these cars is the same as an IACV on other cars then no it does not only function when cruise controll is operated. Its an idle air control valve.......it operates during idle

yeah, Its easier to remove the whole intake manifold than try to just remove the throttle body and such. I remember trying that first, then giving up and taking the whole intake off. even taking the intake off can be a pita.
