I think you at least have a clogged cat or some other similar restriction. 4500rpm isn't right man. </strong><hr></blockquote>

It starts to build boost around 3k and maxes out more like 3.5k-4k rpm. Test pipe and Borla so not much restriction from there back. Runs strong, but 14psi is it. Guess I could disconnect the line to the wastegate and see what happens.

With my stock exhaust in place and a k26/6, boost started building around 2200rpm and I saw 1bar @ 3000rpm. Now, with 3in exhaust, Boost builds much lower and full boost comes in at closer to 2800rpm (in 2nd gear and above). 1st gear is always slower to boost, because we rarely give the car full throttle from the get go. If you dont have a boost cntroller and you get exhasut mods, be sure that you have an ACCURATE aftermarket gauge!!!! For some reason, shortly after I got mine done, my wastegate went south! You should see another 1 lbs or 2 after the modd. and when you start running more boost, you'll probably blow your tired oe re-circ valve BOV.

at least that's what happened to me and cost me more than .02$.

I think that, given my K27 and 6000ft altitude, my car spools-up well. Even my Audi with a tiny K24 doesn't hit max boost until over 3k rpm up here. I did replace the bosch bpv with a Forge valve. I'll bet if I drove down to sea level, but touched nothing on the car, I'd see at least 16psi instead of 14psi.

This isn't my wastegate, just one that was on ebay. I will be using an HKS standard gate. This unit is huge, like the Tial 46mm and expensive, it retails as much as my turbo unit alone!!
