Boston area girl with 944 turbo
I just moved to Boston from California and I own an 86 944 Turbo blk/blk. I'm looking for a new mechanic but don't know many people in the area yet. I'm wondering if anyone here knows any great mechanics in Boston to do ALOT of work on my car. Thanks.

If you post this on the regular 944 board you might get more responces, they tend to have more traffic over there.
And as a post script, in a non sexist sort of way it is good to see a female with a 951....

I've had success with Accel Automotive in Waltham. they know foreign cars as I've been with them through MGs, Triumphs, Alfas and now Porsche... nice guys

The funniest part about that "non-sexist" comment you made is that, I'm a model, I'm just here in Boston for the next year on a contract deal with a local company, so, you can imagine the look I get when I'm getting out of my baby ( my 951). Most people ask me if it's my boyfriend's car. THAT I don't like.

Welcome to Beantown. I can suggest at least two additional places (from personal experience) you should check out: Autobahn Performance (in Peabody off Rt1, easy drive Rick Heatherington is mgr), and Randolph Racing in Stoughton (Kevin Saltzman mgr, about 35 min south of Boston). Both are experienced Porsche + Audi shops and know what they're doing. Both are on the Web.

Are you a chick? Uh Oh People back home warned me about you Boston girls. You are all way too defensive and just not very nice. Sorry if I sounded like an innocent little girl. I'll also second the Randolph Racing suggestion, but it's a bit out of the way for Boston.
But if you like to shop, go to the Natick Mall and drop your car at EEP (Jerry Pellegrini?) off Route 27 in Natick. Knows his stuff, performance oriented, too like RR....

Well, the way to test the validity of this poster is to ask for a photo of you (944Princess) with the car. That would prove that your are for real.
