Why do the cars gain 3 to 6 second in the quarter mile just going through the gates at Bandimere?

I never knew littleton was the "car mecca" on Denver. When I used to misbehave, the street racing crowd certainly didn't hang out there...

Dana,

While I can understand your skepticism, depending on the group it is very possible to have some stupid fast cars hanging out together.

When we used to all get together in Longmont it was very common to have at minimum 5 nine second cars cruising around and even a few 8 second rides. It really depends on the group.

I will say though that when you really have a fast car at the track that it can be quite the opposite on the street. I quit street racing when I got beat by a high nine second Camaro due to complete loss of traction and just plain dangerous behavior. It goes both ways.

I have no idea about the BMW

You quit street racing?

Who is that always hangs out by my house in the middle of the night and street races? I thought that was you. I live by the big tree on rd11. It seems like the tree is the starting area for the drag races.

Sid..

I can understand longmont having fast cars....put a little meth in the tank and they go fast.....its called speed for a reason.

Lol, the only time I mess around on rd 11 is on the way to work. Too many patrolmen on that road for me.

Yep meth in the tank. I'd go through about 17 gallons each night. That's nothing though. The guy who taught me about methanol would blow though much more with a 12-71 blown 505.

Yep there were some good times in Longmont

If I start with a new M3 front bumper next to my drivers side door handle and hit it from a 30 mph roll, what are the chances I will have half a car length on him at 90? My window was down and he was definitely on it. I'm just wondering if he was all in or not.

New mi's trap around 113mph so I could see that as being a win.

I don't know what mild mods are, but a 135I is pretty fast stock. Modded, probably alot faster. I just sold my 06 Evo that put down 297 on a mustang dyno with just a tune and mbc.

I've owned 4 951's in the past the latest, a 88 turbo s with vitesse chip and test pipe. There is no way in hades that turbo s would hang with my evo and no, not even close in the twisties.
