was thinking of converting my car ecu to digifant 1 from corrado
now don't shoot me. I am just thinking I see all these guys spending money on fancy maf units and chips etc.
but with digi1 it uses map. so I would mod the 2.5 engine to use digi1 tb sensors. and mod the factory 944 dizzy to take the vw hall. tuning would be done with
custom chip(to match displacement/injector size)
adjustable fuel pressure reg
wideband
and lastly knock monitor
I did this to my 2.0 corrado turbo and works great. maybe someone else has some thoughts to this?
I think I know the digi1 system inside out and have 14 years of messing with it. and right now I dont see why it could not work

I think it's a good idea. If you can modify all the maps I don't see why it wouldn't work. I've been very fortunate myself to be involved with a maf vendor. If I hadn't I would look into another ecu based on either map or maf. We had once talked about using a mitsu ecu and all the tuning capabilities of the dsmlink and Evo maf.

At one time I was thinking about Saab Trionic 5, it has nice knock-sensing boost control built in, four coils and other clever stuff.

I wish Porsche had stuck with the turbo fours long enough to evolve that much.

I've been considering trying a gm setup. I have hp tuners so I could make and adjustment I want and go speed density. I'm not thrilled with adjustability or cost of simple upgrades for whats available or what I have currently. I think I could make something up thats better and not cost prohibitive. The gm ecu's are extremely tunable and I use my hp tuners weekly writing tunes for lsx swaps, fbodies etc.
