How much work was needed to get the ported S comp. housing to fit? Anything more than an E sized housing? My new route allows me the use of a 4" ported compressor and I fully intend to slap that huge mother on my car. And I won't have to deal with those GD water lines. And it should be 100% bolt on, both exhaust and oil pedestal.

The Garrett GT/GTX series' standard housings (w/ 4" ported shroud) are based on a T04E cover, so the outline dimensions are the same.

i noticed that it sits more foward then a to4e, which gets in the way with the vacuum nipple on the throttle body. all the t04e turbos miss the nipple. Theres no way in mounting it back (hence shaving the mount on both sides.)

I also forgot to add, if you're going to go with a 4" intake pipe, you'll need a smaller alternator or the intake wont make it under the IC pipes. water lines cam be adapted in many different ways (obviously if you go for a "wet" turbo), more custom or mod the stock lines is what i did.

Update: Xover pipe is pretty much finished! that took a while to do, alot of cutting welding since each time you weld it likes to move. We got it as close as possible. All that's left on the Xover is to weld a bung for the o2 and weld the heat shield inplace so it dosn't move and wrap it on exhaust wrap.
Started on the down pipe, just tacking them together.

Also fixed the water pipe tree and painted it.

And some progress pictures

Today we welded the down pipes together properly and wrapped them in heat wrap and welded the o2 bung on the Xover (up pipe) and wrapped that also.

Looking great Pauly, I've been watching this with great interest.

What else needs to be done before you have it back on the road? I'm eagerly waiting for your impressions.

Your work looks great. I am really impressed with your fab skills. I wish I had that knack. Maybe then I could do some cool stuff.

Looks really really good. Just curious why the heat wrap and not powdercoat/heat coat that stuff?

Thanks, i need to finish the exhaust, and install the M-tune just waiting for it to arrive. Then it'll be finished but only on lower boost until i do the clutch

Thanks, credit goes to my dad for welding, i couldn't to half as good welding with a TIG then he could. Apart from that it was me

I've seen good results with ceramic heat wrap so i thought why not

That heat wrap would have been nothing but an oil collection/fire starting device in my car. I would make me very nervous to drive around like that.
I guess with a car that does not leak oil it will not be a problem.

I thought the same thing, but that's why i didn't wrap the whole exhaust where oil could get to.
