Looks like Christine!

George, that looks killer! Any chance she'll be back to you by the end of the month? :P The girlie and I will be taking some time off to come back to Tucson for a long weekend. Regardless, it'd be great to see you.

BTW, been meaning to ask if you have any pics of the TRS wing? Really excited how the car has progressed; this is one of those times I really wish I was still in Arizona!

George, great to see the pictures of your beautiful car. I don't think there are many on the road that look any better regardless of price, well maybe an ENZO, but you don't see many of those. While the trans is apart, you might look for a 3.4 r&p. The gear spacing with that in the 968 box look really good to me.

We will hook up. I'll e-mail you. I'm curious as to who the "girlie" is? She is welcome....?

Looks good George. Maybe now you can break 200MPH- well, on a simulated close road course of course!

Looks awesome. What kind of turbo do you have that spools at idle? How much power is your goal?

Haha she's a girl I met while still in grad school. I dig her -- Sean's met her; we went skiing while he and the fam was up in NH over New Years.

But yes -- let's definitely get together. If not for dinner, then at the very least for a beer or lunch...or both.

I should not have said spool. At idle the wheel is spinning, but the guage is showing vacuum. You can hear the wheel spinning. The turbo is made by Precision using their Billett wheel ball bearing parts. It was built based on particular specifications, but the basic beginning is the Precision Billett wheel BB6262 body.

The HP goal is around 500whp using 91 fuel with similar TQ as low as possible. We expect to be running 17-18 psi boost. I won't be running this motor to 25psi. This power can't be really used in these old cars. We have no TC or other means, as stock, to control wheel spin to allow traction.

We completely changed the intake, designed a vertical intercooler, and other things that the engineer's felt would help with spool, air temps, and flow of air to the modified head.

I wanted a RELIABLE track/road car. Not a big dyno number. There isn't much you can do with these cars with over 500whp. There is a BIG difference to having 500whp at 6500rpm, but max tq coming on close to 5K. I want max tq by 3500 or so, with a positive boost guage by 2K. These cars are much faster when you design the parts around the motor and it's original intent.

The TecGT does have an over boost fuel cut off – it is programmed by pressure and how long you want to fuel to be cut if it reaches that pressure. I am surprised it was not set, it’s an important safety feature.

If I remember you are running the 968 transaxle with a solid flywheel (no dual mass) and an unsprung hub clutch (911 style) – that could make for some ‘extra’ noise from the transaxle.

It does look nice!
