O, not complaining, just giving more evidence... truth is I did not know what was involved exactly, so I did not do it...

How can this be drilled without dropping plastic into the separator? Short of taking the engine out...

You can remove the turbo, or just the down pipe if you think you can do it... That will allow you to drill it. (You remove the 3 bolts that hold it to the block.)

Check this link and tell me your opinion. This separator is manufactured for aircraft, but I cant se a reason why it can’t work on cars.

I have the Lindsey kit. I think it is well constructed, as most of Lindsey products are, but it was tought to install the cam housing bolts after the catch can was in place, and I used all screw type hose clamps instead of the oetiker clamps Lindsey provided for some of the fittings. I have yet to see any oil collect in the can, but after some time on the track, I do notice the filter has a little oil on the filter, but I guess this says something about the engine, not the breather kit. I think I will eventually move the can to a spot in front of the engine after I remove the water pipe/AFM mount and open up some room there, probably when I get to replacing the turbo someday.

I know this is an unpopular question, but:

How about attacking the root problem? Namely excessive leak-down.

I have been there (with my Espada) and in the end it was less time consuming, less aggravating, maybe the same cost, increased power and in the end much more gratifying to really spent time on sealing the combustion chambers.

Ouch Turbo! Those are EXPENSIVE! They look nice. I don't like the no mounting idea though.

I just drilled the separator. Gee thats a small hole! I noticed that the o-ring on the dipstick was half gone! Hence the leak, I dont know if I would put it down to crank case pressure or not. Glad I am ironing out these issues though.
