Default Who do you insure your car through?

How much do you pay and have you had any problems with them? My policy is up soon and I'm shopping around for a new one. I'll be doing a multi-vehicle discount ('06 Ranger, '86 951, '94 Yamaha FZR600) and tomorrow I'm going to call about a 2.8 turbo I'd really like to get the ball rolling on, so I'd like to know how your insurance policies take into account things like modifications and improvements as well.

State Farm - multi car, I had a low mileage policy on the street car when I had it, $292/6 months IIRC.

If you get Tico's 2.8, fly into Memphis and drive it home, Memphis to Denver won't be that bad. I did Vegas to Heber in 19 hours,
hauled *** at times but it was fun and the 944 has a great long distance driving position.

Im through Erie. Stated value on the 951 so if something happens there is no worrying that they'll not value the car right. Not sure the rate off the top of my head but they were best price n coverage when I was looking., its mutli policy...

Haggerty's $14k agreed value $269 annual.......the catch is you have to have a garage and other car's insured with normal insurance....also I live in NJ which has some of the highest insurance rates in the country.

I use Hagerty's with an agreed value of $19K. I think it's about $375 a year. I love my car!!

I have State Farm. I'm paying $960/6 months for all 3 cars - my '86 951, my '03 VW GTI 1.8T, and my '05 Audi A6. Full coverage on all 3, rental car, 0 deductible. I've made a few claims over the last 3-4 years (none of which were my fault, but that may still affect rates, who knows) and I've never had a problem dealing with them. Always a piece of cake.

Checked out Hagerty's website - their quote is about half of what I pay for the 951 through State Farm. Those of you that have them, how are they as far as making claims go?

I assume that's a typo... either that or your buddy is certainly "taking care" of you... all the way to the bank!

Exactly what I have and pay as well.

I was kind of surprised by my 951's rate being that high, as the rates for following cars were less despite being valued at 2-3x more: 79 Ferrari 308, C5 Z06, E36 M Coupe.

For those with Hagerty, are the rates you're quoting full coverage? What are the mileage limitations?
