Finnish the 3.0L motor early in the year.
Start putting the car back together.
Plan is to have the car mechanically complete by the end of 2011.
Sell off all the unneeded parts littering my shop.

I GOT A MENTION!
![jumper](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/jumper.gif)
Mine is on heiatus for the time being, but will resume in hopefully short order..
Total rebirth of the breed is my goal, my own approach, my own flavor.. for my car.
EMS on hand
J&S on hand
Suspension bits on hand
trans bits on hand
Engine in process (on hold)
lots more on hand and to come... hopefully... I am holding out hope I can get it done for the fest '11.. but we will have to wait and see.
End goal is a one off street legal track able fun car.. reliable enough to use, modern enough to not apear dated, and fun enough to enjoy...
I have bigger fish to fry in my bucket right now, but as soon as a few things have been dealt with, I will be back at it again.. just hope it isn't all just to turn around and sell her.. but if that is in the cards it will be...

We've got some nice things happening here (on rennlist)
Mostlikley save money probably untill 2012 when the right engine is found.
and finish sanding the 924, decide what to do with the engine, either 2 twin barrel carbs or supercharged with a haltech EMS.

Ok, so this is kind of a coming out post. I've been all over the forums/vendor sites for the past 6 months just reading/searching ect...
I bought this car end of May here in 2010, I haven't been able to do anything to it yet since I had to pay for my wedding this past Oct. And it turned out I ended up having to daily drive the car for the past 6 months because my Audi S4 blew a cam adjuster (back of the motor/required motor pull/expensive/ect). I had been tracking the S4 at DE's for the past 4 years and figured it was time to get something dedicated. Tracking a daily driver isn't the most reliable solution and it became too much to deal with, plus it was heavy and slow. So in 2011 I plan to get the suspension in order and try to freshen up the motor to make it track worthy and get it to a couple events at least.
So here's the 89 951 S I purchased for $2500
from a friend who just didn't have the time for it. I got a few extra parts with it also which was a bonus!

Plans for the winter are 2-fold:
General maintenance -
1) Fix the oil leak that appeared in the fall (leaky RMS)
2) Due for timing belt
Prep the car for DE events (wife decided she wants to do DE this coming year) -
1) Install rollbar (Redline Rennsport bar ordered yesterday)
2) Install new harnesses (Santa hooked me up with harnesses.)
3) Pull oil pan to determine if previous owner installed a baffle. If not, install one
4) Purchase and install brake ducting
5) Purchase and install new Lindsey oil cooler
6) Purchase and install new track tires (Sport Cups)
7) Purchase helmet for wifey and HANS device
8) Flush brake fluid
9) Install Ti brake pad backing plates
10) Install freshly rebuilt K26/6 I have sitting on the shelf
This winter is going to be expensive.

Geesh, Patrick, you must have waayyy too much time on your hands to even think of a list that long, much less tackle it. ;-)
My list is pretty light this year:
- Finish up the power steering rack reseal and AC compressor delete that I'm in the middle of
- Install the CPR V3 splitter I just bought and a GT Racing LeMans-style rear spoiler
- If bonuses from my company are decent this year, install an IQ3 DAS system
- Lastly, fix whatever breaks from tracking the car

This got put on hold for a while, but when Michael gets back from Arizona after New Year's, I'm going to post up a long list of parts I'm selling from the car, and buy the V8, since we've found the guy who will be doing the bellhousing adapter. Also, if anybody's got a line on another Mitsubishi Heavy Industries TD05H 14B turbocharger in usable condition that I can have on the cheap, please PM me, I need to boost BOTH cylinder banks so one isn't going to be enough ![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

- Fix all the problems I have no idea exist!
- Install Zeitronix Data Logger I bought a couple months ago
- Purchase and install Koni Inserts up front
- Purchase and install 2.5" Bursch Test Pipe
- Rebuild Control Arms
I want to just say thanks to everyone at RL. I really appreciate all the help I received this past year getting my 951 sorted. A special thanks to JOSH B who spent a lot of time giving me some great advice and direction. THANK YOU!

I finally plan on installing my K27/6 with Vitesse MAF plus my newly aquired thermal coated manifold and cross-over pipe (Thanks to Josh B). My car's an "86, so it will be nice to have a 2-piece cross over and updated manifold to go with. I waited nearly 2 years to get the car back from the paint shop, so it's about time to get the project under way. After that.... clutch, brakes, interior (sport seats), LSD.....this project will never be completely finished.....which isn't a bad thing.
