DMV is on our case with all this, our DMV doesnt care about engine volume, only power, but the power numbers has to be FACTORY,so we cant detune it.
we found a LS based engine down to 270hp in 4.8liter and 290 in 5.3 alu, that might be doable, especially if we could just find a tuv approved chip, for a turbo S, that would help soooo much!

There might be hope withe the Jando i postet earlier.
The guy is still around and might have some papers:

It was on the market in 1990, and probably tuv approved.

Hey just throwing it out there.. what about a destroked 283 small block chevy? I think all the ls stuff would still work but I don't know.
Factory Hp rating should not be a problem cause I'm pretty sure the two barrels were gutless! Don't know if they do the same year or newer deal?
Ironically enough in Ca, I could not turbo charge my 92 Tercel in Ca ie lift the hood "see" the Turbo BAM, you failed the visual game over! But if I could fit a 92 or newer 454 in it...hey no problem! WTH!!

At least when your Government is concerned with your safety, they make sure you know how to drive before allowing you to do so on public roadways. Here, they teach you how to cover your eyes and hope. I swear, a driver's license in the US is just like beer... "You can't have any until you're old enough... oh, you are old enough? well then here, have all you want" And it's obvious on the road... the vast majority of the people out there have no idea what they're doing. But it's not really their fault, our Govt. gave them a license and told them it was ok to drive. I just don't get it... because you can pass a written test that basically asks you to read road signs and define their meaning, and a driving test which requires you to drive at a constant speed, then stop, back around a corner, and then parallel park, you're qualified to operate heavy machinery around a bunch of other people doing the same things with equivalently terrible training? And then, you take these tests ONCE when you're 16years old and then you're good for life? And then getting wildly drunk and driving around MIGHT get your driving privileges revoked, for a while? I think trying to merge with an 60-70mph interstate highway at 35mph should result in loss of privileges... but no, people do it all the time. Our department of licensing might as well be a vending machine.
Sorry, that wasn't intended to be a rant... but I just got going....

I got a reply from Mr. Jando
....that he needed the mail in German. Google translate saved the day. Waiting for him to reply to that.
In the meantime I found on this board the 951 from 9ff. 370bhp and made in Germany by a tuner which probalby is married to TüV. Anders, you want to follow up on that one?

"Hello Mr. Knut Aas,
thanks for the nice e-mail. Unfortunately, I must tell you however that I have the green Porsche and not even know where he is.
However, I could give you an address that can possibly help you.
Contact Patrick Zimmerman www.dp-motorsport.de below.
Tell Patrick in this course then greetings from Charley.
It would be very nice if you can send me the Swedish article.
LG Charly Jando"
All communications is done by google Translate from German. Fantastic tool
I have sent Mr. Zimmerman an email. the search continues...
unfortunately it is difficult to find TÜv papers...
