You should send the pics to the Porsche Factory just for kicks. See if you get a reply. At the very least to Excellence and the like. You never know??

Not to worry John.. When I get behind that wheel any trepidation will go away

What you did Jason was insane ... as what I am doing ...
I would have loved to powder coat more parts, but here in CA, it was insanely priced, until I found a guy who was much more reasonable ... but by then, I did most of the painting myself ...
Best regards guys

Default Here is a few shots of my brake calipers before and after re-doing them

I can't begin to explain how much time I spent on these damn calipers
Half the work was taking them apart ( not the 1/2 's of the calipers ) but all the allen bolts, that were holding the brake guides, which were cemented in with a ton of locktite!
A big shout out to Olli, who helped me, by giving me a great deal of pointers, to guide me through this arduous task.... I wanted it to look factory, so I had to clean the Porsche letters then polish them, then have them powder coated, then cleaned off the powder coating off, then re-polish the letters. I not only masked the original plating (on the connecting bolts ) but also had all the hardware ( crossovers, brake guides, brake pad retainer springs, mounting bolts and brake guide screws plated and then everything was clear coated ....
I don't know if I would do this again
Regards
Ed

Default Brake components

Here is the brake hardware after plating and powder coating.
Below is a picture of the before shot of the brake lines .. It's really heard to believe they are the same brake lines

Looks good Ed !

Now just give those Zimmermann's hat a good treatment so they won't get rust (if that will ever happen in CA )

Thanks Olli and thanks for all your help on those calipers !!
Yes they will rust, although the will never see rain, if I can help it, but I am thinking of getting them plated with white or as they say clear zinc ...
Best regards
Ed
