Default few more pictures

I was able to get in the headlights without a hitch .. Really was kinda worried I was going to have issues .. This has to be one of the most complicated mechanisms I have ever had to put together after taking it apart 6 yrs ago...

...what's gonna suck is you're gonna run the car to temp after a couple times all that beautiful zinc is going to get all nasty looking again. I bought a new fuel damper and it was so pretty...I opened the hood after driving a 50 mile round trip and it looked like I poured acid all over it or something.

Unreal though - those pictures really take you back to what it was like looking at these things brand new. I wish I still had the pictures of when my Dad and I went to the 1987 Houston Auto Show - first booth I went to was Porsche to sit in the 951. I had a picture for years of me at 17 sitting in the exact same car I have today...wish I could find that....

Ed has taken secret special precautions to preserve that zinc coloring. We'll see how it does... And, like the hyper-restored 356s you see at shows, no Porsche engine ever looked this clean coming off the assembly line. As good as it looks in pictures, it looks even better in person. I would be very surprised if any other 951 motor has ever benefitted from this much time and attention to appearance.

Well I am hoping that it will last longer than that... I took a few precautions to help prevent that from happening... But I wont get my hopes up too high...
Great story .... Find that picture and post it
